PRIOLO SERVIZI COMMUNICATES WITH ACCESSNET®-T IP
The Priolo Servizi Consortium from Sicilia, Italy, provides a wide range of utility services at the petrochemical centre in Syracuse. These include water supply and distribution, wastewater management, pipeline monitoring, various environmental services and fire protection and security services.
Mobilcom, partner of Advantec distribution, has designed and equipped Priolo Servizi with a secure, highly available and powerful latest generation ACCESSNET®-T IP radio system and Hytera radios by HMF.
The new TETRA communication solution helps to optimise staff workflows as well as increase safety and ensures stable and clear communication in case of emergency.
ACCESSNET®-T IP is a secure and high available TETRA solution that meets the high requirements of oil & gas organisations and refineries.
2020
The Priolo Servizi Consortium in Sicilia uses the radio system for daily operations in all working areas.
The challenge
The project included a new digital TETRA radio system and allowed to extend radio coverage to remote areas. The new TETRA solution is now used in the entire refinery area and in the well area around the refinery (approximately within a radius of 10 km).
In addition, the new radio network should be connected to the Public Address and General Alarm System (PA/GA).
A solution well received
The ACCESSNET-T® IP TETRA communications solution and Mobilcom ensure high technical quality and know-how, robustness of the products and good project management.
The new tailor-made TETRA solution with the powerful DIB-R5 advanced and DIB-R5 compact TETRA base stations meets all the customers needs. First of all, the radio coverage has been significantly improved and ensures voice and data connectivity in the entire area.
The two base stations are configured in redundancy and offer secure communication channels to about 400 radio terminals.
Three Hytera DWS dispatchers serve as control centre for the daily operations and management of the radios as well as for emergency management. In addition to voice communication, the new TETRA radio system is also used to control pumps and valves within the supply infrastructure, among other things.
Thanks to a connection to the PA/GA system via the Radiobox® from Mobilcom, messages can now also be sent to all radios via the TETRA network.
