Hytera Perú has been awarded the contract to renew the mission-critical communication system of the city of Moquegua in the province of Mariscal Nieto-Moquegua. An integrated security solution based on the TETRA standard is being implemented, which will complete replace an old analog radio system.
The new TETRA ACCESSNET®-T IP system from Hytera (the powerful and robust DIB-R5 outdoor base stations are being deployed) ensures better radio coverage and increases the communication capacity in the province of Nieto-Moquegua. In future, this will enable reliable and secure communication across the entire urban area of Moquegua. The radio network is mainly used by the city police, the “Serenazgo”.
Central control centre with Smart One dispatcher solution
Thanks to a Smart One dispatcher solution with a GPS location system, communication between all relevant emergency services can be standardised and bundled. The system also enables the seamless integration of other subsystems. In an emergency, efficient and effective coordination of all relevant personnel is ensured at all times via a central control centre.
The security forces communicate in the Moquegua urban area with the Hytera PT580HPlus and MT680Plus radios, among others, and are equipped with VM685 body cameras.
Hector Valencia, Government & Public Safety Sales Director, Hytera Peru: “We are pleased that our Hytera TETRA infrastructure is making a significant contribution to making the region even safer. It’s obvious: The public safety sector in Latin America is in a phase of technological upheaval. We at Hytera have a clear message for this: Change for Better!” Luis Perez, President Hytera Peru, adds: “For mission-critical communication, we offer an innovative and comprehensive product portfolio, extensive know-how and a high degree of flexibility in order to implement the most suitable communication solution for each customer.”
