A premiere in Cyprus: Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH together with OneTech Services Ltd, its local partner for the shipbuilding industry, was represented for the first time as an exhibitor in Cyprus at the East Med Marine and Oil & Gas Exhibition in Limassol.
Tsvetomir Benchev, Sales Director East and South Europe at Hytera Mobilfunk, was very satisfied: “We have two successful days of trade fair behind us with some good conversations and fascinating encounters. I am especially pleased at the great interest that industry professionals showed in our product portfolio.”
The East Med Marine and Oil & Gas Exhibition in April is an important industry meeting point for the shipping/offshore and oil and gas industries in Cyprus. Over a hundred technical equipment suppliers, exhibitors and service providers from more than 30 countries came to Limassol this year alone to share in the latest developments and current topics related to ship technology and repairs as well as industrial companies. In the midst of this setting was the trade fair stand of Hytera and OneTech Services. “Visitors focused mainly on our DMR and ATEX radios,” reports Tsvetomir Benchev.
Ideal for use on ships: PD715 Ex and PD795 Ex
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has stipulated in its International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) that all ships registered in Europe are required to carry at least 2 intrinsically safe and explosion-proof handheld radios on board. The two Hytera handheld radios PD715 Ex and PD795 Ex are thus ideally suited for use on ships. The extremely ruggedized and hard-wearing devices comply not only with ATEX requirements (ATEX is the European directive governing the proper use of equipment in areas where there is a risk of explosion), but also with the FM standard (required in North America) and the corresponding IEC standard, guaranteeing a reliable means of communication in dangerous potentially explosive atmospheres.
