Hytera Mobilfunk is supporting the Eimbeckhausen primary school for a very special project.
With the idea of setting up a school ambulance service, the initiators Britta Rokahr and Sabine Wellner met with great interest at Hytera Mobilfunk. After all, this school project combines two very important experiences for the children: they take on a responsible task and help. In future, the 13 primary school children participating in the project will be available as first contact in case of accidents in the schoolyard.
To take care of a small graze, to comfort them a little or would it be better to have a chaperone present? The pupils have learned exactly what to do in an emergency in a special course run by the German Red Cross. Heike Greinert from the DRK, supported the children with advice and practical help. To receive an official certificate as a helper, the young participants not only had to apply a pressure bandage themselves at the end of the course, but also had to know how the stable lateral position works. During the course they also had the opportunity to take an exclusive look at a real ambulance.
Hytera Mobilfunk covered the costs of this training, which fortunately could still take place before the school had to close due to the Corona pandemic. Britta Rokahr: “We are really thrilled with how attentive and conscientious the children were in the course. We now hope that primary school will also start again soon and that we can really get started with the school ambulance service”.
